Scope and content
Series consists of audio-visual materials such as audio cassettes, DVDs, VHS, and floppy disks. Audio cassette tapes are mostly from the Hamilton United Gay Societies (HUGS). DVDs and VHS tapes are mostly recorded segments of Toronto Pride and news coverage of LGBTQ+ issues from CHCH, CHTV and Cable 14. Some VHS tapes are of Hamilton United Gay Societies (HUGS) events.
Material from Series 13 (boxes 27-31) is currently unprocessed and is not available for public consultation. Any request to view unprocessed archival material should be directed to the HPL Local History and Archives’ archivist.
