The material in the fonds consists of predominantly textual documents covering the daily operation and activities of the Hamilton Poetry Centre during the 1980s and 1990s. The fonds also consists of audio cassette tapes of recordings of poetry and author readings, as well as photographs.

The material consists of records pertaining to the Women’s Wentworth Historical Society including administrative records, financial records, correspondence, notices and invitations, inventories, events, publicity and publications, newspaper clippings, commemorative medals, and scrapbooks, some of which contain a small number of photographs.

The fonds consists of the records of the Tower Poetry Society and contains the following series: administrative records, correspondence, publications and publicity, events and poetry workshops, and the history of the TPS.

The material consists of records pertaining to the Wentworth Historical Society including administrative records, financial records, legal papers, correspondence, events and commemorations, historical essays, notices, newspaper clippings, glass plate negatives, a few photographs and maps, as well as a membership ribbon. The financial records also include a small amount of papers from Fred Hamilton, a former Secretary of the Wentworth Historical Society. There is also a small amount of material pertaining to the Ladies’ Committee including, administrative records, financial records, legal papers, correspondence, souvenir books and programs, and newspaper clippings.

The fonds consists of administrative and other records of the various Hamilton chapters of the Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire (IODE) from 1900 to 2012. The fonds is arranged chronologically by the date of the chapter’s foundation.

The fonds contains eleven series and one subseries including, administrative records, correspondence, bird records, environmental conservation projects, programs and events, the Junior Audubon Club, property records, bequests, endowments and funds, awards and recognition, publicity and publications, photographs and scrapbooks. The fonds also contains graphic materials including water colours, as well as photographs of members, events, programs, wildlife and plant life.
