Administrative history
The Royal Court Entertainers were an amateur concert party consisting of nine members: Mary Hanson, Dorothy Sommerville, Hazel Phillips, Mary Grant, Ethel Morris, Frederick Davidson, Howard Wilson Jerome, Richard Fairs, and Leslie Sommerville. From 1937-1941, they performed old fashioned choruses, humorous sketches and dances for personal parties, garden parties and group events.
Custodial history
The material came from the late Miss Hazel Phillips, and was donated to Hamilton Public Library by Pat Ford along with material pertaining to the Hamilton Savoyard Operatic Society and the Hamilton Musical Arts Society. Hazel Phillips was a performer for the Royal Court Entertainers.
Scope and content
The fonds consists of administrative records pertaining to the Royal Court Entertainers of Hamilton; in particular, membership lists, correspondence, financial records, posters, and newspaper clippings.
