The University Women’s Club organized lectures on topics such as counselling , child psychology, world hunger, religion, mental hygiene, weather, sculpture, bee-keeping, owls, flags, human rights, and Canadian folksongs. A Development Fund was set up in 1952 to raise funds to have a clubhouse which spurred many different initiatives. From the 1950s until the late 1960s funds from the sale of hand-crafted goods were raised by the Clubhouse Crafts Group led by Miss Lois Allen. Scholarship assistance to women university students was granted through fund-raising efforts of the members. During World War 2 the members organized several initiatives to help with the war effort in Canada.
